  1. So I want to try and shoot some larger objects and right now I the only scope I have is the 10” LX200 and even with the .63 reducer its FOV is still not wide enough for the objects i want to shoot. I have a few lenses for my DSLR that will give me a much wider FOV then the SCT so I got the adapters I needed to attach the AI294MC to the lenses (Canon Lenses). I needed a guide scope since I’ve been using an OAG on the LX200 so I picked up an SVBONY SV-165 30mm f/4 120mm FL guide scope attached it to the lens and the whole thing is piggybacked on the LX200 which is riding on the CQ350. Using a Canon 400mm Prime I was able to get the Rosette in frame. ASI294MC Pro ASI174MM Mini (guide camera) Cannon 400mm prime CQ350 Pro mount Did not have time to get much data. I started too late and it dipped behind my neighbor’s house but Thursday night is supposed to be clear so maybe I can get more time with it. Unfortunately it’s late in the season for me for this object but I’ll get what I can. Shot under a full Moon. No filters. 2 x 180 60 x 120

  4. Thanks everyone! I used PixInsight to align, stack and do some processing. Like I said I’m just starting out with it so much to learn. I do have Lightroom and PS which I am very familiar with I do wildlife and nature photography also but PixInsight is another animal altogether ! Thanks for the welcome and the tips its very much appreciated. I will keep at it and I’m sure I will slowly learn…with all you fine folks help that is!
  5. Thanks! I really like your edit much better. I have been watching so many videos lol. Adam Block is one of the folks that I have been watching. I collected another 1hr or so of data last night that I will incorporate and see how it looks. Thanks for the tips, much appreciated! If you don’t mind sharing how did you increase the saturation in PixInsight? Very new to the program and it’s quite overwhelming with all its features. Thanks.
  6. Got mine a few weeks ago. So far really liking it! Tracks very well and I just got my camera and OAG setup. First image with only 1.5 hrs of data. I did not have a guide camera setup yet so short exposures only 30x120 30x60
  7. Hello my first post! Enjoying the site very much. Some great images here. Pretty much all new stuff except for the scope. Getting all this new equipment how it all works in my old head has been quite the challenge! Finally figured out the backspacing (I think). I couldn’t get the guide camera to focus last night but I did get that sorted out today, needed to shift the spacers from front to back of OAG and that Finally figured out the backspacing (I think). I couldn’t get the guide camera to focus last night but I did get that sorted out today, needed to shift the spacers from front to back of OAG and that seemed to do the trick. I have it focused and guiding right now on M1. But last night was great getting M51 about 1.5 hours of data, will get more time with it in the next day or so. And will have the guider working so longer exposures will be possible. 10” LX200 @f/.63, Sky-Watcher CQ350Pro, ASI 294MC, ASI174 Mini. ASIAIR Plus. 10” LX20 @f/.63Sky-Watcher, ASI 294MC, ASI174 Mini.
