If my scope is F5.9 what will the speed come down to by fitting the above ? I had a look but cannot find any info or formulae.

So I have a new shiny 533mc pro along with a zwo filter drawer and a optolong L extreme 2 inch. what other filters if any should I consider I live in a bortle 6 area but its higher where I live due to some lights that are on permanently all night behind my garden,.(ongoing saga with local authorities to get them on a sensor ...) initial use will be with a WO z73 and later an Edge hd 8 .

Done a little more tweaking ,much better these are from last night.

i am waiting for my new Pegasus power box to be delivered ,one thing i would like is a short power lead to connect the the EQ6R pro mount to the power box . ive seen 2 so far one 6 foot and the other 3 foot ,surely there must be a nice shorty one made for such devices, after all its meant to help with cable management ... only other option is to buy a plug and get the soldering iron out ..

I've also realised the 533 camera has 2 ports also ,I could use these for the guidecam/EAF ....if so then sorted..

If i purchase the powerbox advance i really need 5 usb ports ,would it work if i plug into one of the usb ports a usb splitter adapter to give the extra port ? i can't see why not buy you guys may know otherwise... no way am i paying the crazy money the the larger version.....

ok so i ve had my wo z73 for a few months and used it to good effect with my canon 60d but now i wish to get a dedicated astro camera ,ZWO ais533 mc pro. i have the wo adjustable field flattener fitted and its adjusted to 11.4 mm on the scale as per wo instructions for the canon ,my question is do i need to change this or leave it and just add the zwo spacers up to the 55mm ,confused......😕

looks a good idea but nowhere for the polemaster to go....

ideas for mounting it to an EQ6R pro mount .i want to be able to swap it between wo z73 and an edgehd 8 so on the mount if possible.

Hi as this is a brand new mount ive not stripped and rebuilt it like i did my heq5 pro.......dare i will soon though it made a huge difference to that mount ,and it certainly guided better than this but it is new and full of that Chinese glue type grease so im getting itchy fingers to take it apart....and at least strip and regrease with good quality grease. I have tweaked the worm gears yes....its such a fine balance between binding and backlash ,this would not be such an issue if you could test nightly but where i live can get weeks of cloud....so not helpful. Shame cannot test in the daytime on something ...

Do i currently need this as i am not using any filters for my modified canon 60d ? i plan to get a new osc camera soon.

Fitted the New Zwo EAF yesterday ,is this a good focus curve from last night please ..any suggestions welcome. 😃 i followed patriot astro on youtube .

yes I have an OAG in the pipeline for the edgehd.. loosened the nut on the Dec shaft and the RA both very tight now super fluid . also took a bit some belt slack up on both axis and a little on the RA worm gear. see last nights guide assistant pictures. managed to guide last when no whispy high clouds at .43 to .51 so a big improvement .stars looked nice and tight and round . will leave it for a while now see how it settles .

I have a new ZWO EAF arriving tomorrow. please can anyone help me to get started with this in NINA ,i will be fitting it to my WO Z73 scope at this time . recommended settings ect....to get me off the mark.

I always use polemaster now and make sure it's bang on ,so if that's accurate then PA should be good ,the seeing was not bad last night either,mount arrived yesterday factory sealed.balance i tried perfect balance and then east heavy ,the latter was slightly better i guess. I even unplugged my imaging camera to be certain of no cable drag.

Forgot to add my guide setup is a wo 50 mm guide scope fl 200mm with a zwo 120mm guide cam.

ok so I have upgraded ? my mount from the heq5 pro to the EQ6R pro as soon I want to use my edgehd so I knew the eq6r pro would handle the extra weight better. so I got to test the new mount last night with the wo z73 mounted on top and I was really struggling to get any decent guiding it was struggling to stay below 1 total rms. I ran the guide assistant a few times making sure I left it for a full worm cycle ,I then applied the recommended settings ,also tried exposure times from 1 to 4 seconds without much difference. my heq5 pro would sit on .5 to .6 all night . (it was tuned) seeing for the most part was ok. I can feel no backlash in the mount when I feel for it .I also noticed when guiding the RA was always quite a bit higher than the Dec. they used to be very close to each other on my last mount. it was a lot of money to make my guiding worse !! please see attached guide assistant pictures and calibration. any help greatly appreciated..

Any recommendations for one that will work with the Edgehd 8 ? i ask as the chap i got the scope from had no joy when trying to get one working with it .

is there an autofocuser that will work on both rigs rather that needing 2 ?
