Brecon Beacons Milky Way

Here we have my very first Milky Way shot from the Brecon Breacons.

Didn't really have a clue what I was doing and what I was aiming at as APT kept crashing as I think my second hand Netbook needs the ram upgrading.

I was quite annoyed when I first saw the image when I can home as someone had their headlights on on the other side of the reservoir and because of how wide the lens it, picked it quite a bit.

Here is the original and a quick process, got lots to learn.

11mm, f/3.5, ISO 3200, 30 seconds

I've got to reprocess it as I've lost the processed file to then save it as a PNG.

No worries buddy, still great pics, but PNG is a lossless format and much better to present fine detailing for next time.

These were rough processes anyway so it will give me an incentive to spend a bit more time on them and redo them.

I've given up trying to get it how I had it first time round as I can't even get close.

For some reason Lightroom 5 doesn't have a save as PNG so here is a TIFF instead, I think its a little clearer but it could be my eyes playing tricks on me.

No, its still a JPEG.

Photobucket has automatically converted it.

I upload to SGL's gallery, then embed the high quality image into the post. It usually works well.

Photobucket is Rubbish I'm afraid.
