Rotating optics

Recommended Posts

After fitting a cooling fan to the back of my reflector, i slapped in a 5mm eyepeice on top of a 2.5times Barlow, looked at the image and it appeared to be rotating, i switched the fan of and of course it stopped.

this i assume must be air currents swirling in the tube.

What effect will this have on planet resolution?

the fan is currently blowing air into the tube..would it be preferable to suck air out?
