Atik 16 CCD Camera

hello

can anyone tell me if the atik 16 is a good ccd cam

it will be my first i do have a canon 300d

i was thinking of using the atic 16 to autoguide

on the nexstar mount

I expect that the IC has superceded it, but I could be wrong.

If you have a look on the Atik website you can look at the specs of the cameras.

The 16 is different to the 16ic but it will take somebody with alot more knowledge to explain the differences.

To me it looks like the ccd chip is larger and more sensitive and it should give less noise.But i know nothing

The Atik 16 is a very good ccd camera , one down from mine the 16hr , the 16 has a smaller chip so would be a tighter field of view, guess it would make a nice guide camera as well , better than the ic ,
