My Report June 27 Part 1

Part 1 as I'm back out in a second.

Got down to Lee - on - Solent beach armed with 7x50 bino's, Olympus C350 Zoom & a tripod. Setup and waited for Venus Mercury & Saturn to appear (9.30pm). After 30mins of being bitten by god knows how many fly's I was rewarded with a first sight of Venus & Mercury. Saturn (I feel) must have been down under the horizon cloud / smog of Southampton.

I took a number of pictures, all mostly naff... but hey I was chuffed with seeing the sight through the binos!!!

Excellent Rob, look forward to your pic's:), i didnt get any pics out of the coolpix they were all NAFF! lol didnt really care though just viewed it with BINOS.

I think that just having achieved a view of the conjuntion is achievement enough, gents. I could have done with a beach horizon, myself - but there arn't too many of those in Oxford.

Update on Part 2.... there isn't one! It clouded over oh well... off to bed I go then :?

That's rotten luck mate! :x Still clear as a bell here (but you didn't want to know that. Off to look for NGC7000 which James has seen from a light polluted site in about 5 minutes.
