Fixing the EQ6 (not a light weight!)

Putting on the weights x3 5KG

Mounting the telescope Risky job every time!

Reverse order the above!!

So I have decided to build a portable set up. The plan now is to build a very large cupboard that stands up against the garage wall on the patio for the whole lot to wheel into in one piece.

My wife thought I'd built a Wallace & Gromit rocket ship! (seeing it for the first time before the mount went on.

A further report to follow regarding the Vixen Altlux (First proper experience, last night, WOW!)

Needs a coat of dribbly red paint to be truly W&G :-)

Not serious, it looks superb.

The next stage is to put wheels on the cupboard, then the pier can be fixed down and the cupboard wheeled away...
