First moon image

Hi Guys

Nothing special here, but it is the first image I have captured with my scope, so I'm quite happy with it.

Any suggestions in improving appreciated.

By the way this was ISO800, 1/100sec

Nice images!! Well done. The first is over-exposed by quite a bit. Maybe try 1/250 -1/500 sec with a 1000D and 200P. As the Moon gets "bigger" ie the phase increases it does get really bright - often 1/1000 sec is enough around full. The Barlow has had the effect of 2x magnification which equates to an image 4x fainter, so 1/100 - 1/250 is about right. Hope this helps.

Oops! I forgot - ISO - very important!! I usually use 400 for the Moon with the 1000D and 200P but you could use 200 or even 100 if you like - its all a bit of a balancing act!

BTW try not to use 1600 (or 800) as you will get a noticeably noisy image.
