Saturn with the ED80 just for fun

The Skywatcher ED80 is a great little scope, but not really designed for planetary imaging.

At the end of my imaging session last night I thought I would give it a go anyway to see what I got.

Image taken with a 4x Imagemate and IR filter then resized to 150% in Registax.

Not bad under the circumstances, but I don't think I'll be making a habit of it.

Nice.Good capture that Geoff, I'm amazed at what the little ED 'scopes are capable of.

there's you and tony doing planets, Rog. does DSOs with one, is there anything they don't do?

We're sure having fun these days what with M42, Saturn and no clouds. Great stuff eh?
