Where would you put an ED80?

Hi guys/girls

Im planning to buy an ED80 at the end of the month to use for my astrophotography but i dont know the best way to mount it with my C9.25.

Would you mount it side by side or on top?

I think on top... I dont own either, but due to size and weight, i would assume on top. It would also make balancing far easier.

Hmmm... not sure. Is the Celestron ring or dovetail monted? If dovetail I would hesitate to piggyback because you would be asking a lot of the Tube of the SCT structurally.

You will also need much less counterweight if side by side.
