starship trooper Posted April 3, 2011 Share Posted April 3, 2011 hi there,I am slowly learn about eqmod and looking to use a guide scope i have a sw 200pds on a heq5 mount and was wondering if i could turn my meade ds2070 refractor into a guide scope? and do you think it would do the job?The scope has a 70mm apature and a fl or 1000mm F10 so should i leave the scope as is or could i shorten it?All help appreciated cheers dazz Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Do you have a finder scope eg 10x 50mm or similar - they make useable guide scopes even with a webcam.
