Raining comets?

Remind me, where did I recently see a line about the possibility that the Earth's water supply is being replenished by house-sized comets falling into the atmosphere at the rate of about 40 per hour? I first read about this in an issue of Discover magazine about ten years ago, and dismissed it later as one of their joke/hoax articles that they do about April 1st, as I hadn't heard any more about it until now.

Does anyone have any information on this?

Havn't seen that W.H, but I did see a discovery program that said most of the earths water came from comet collisions

What happens when a 100 tonne snowball hits the ISS? If there are a quarter-million of these things hitting the earth every day, you'd expect one to bring down a satellite from time to time.

I think I remember seeing a video of these things hitting the atmosphere taken from the shuttle I presume. They looked like weird UFO's.
