First light W/O 72mm Flamingstar Neb

Hi all I've been itching to try out my new Wo megrez 72 with my new narrowband filters so I thought I would go for the flamingstar nebula.

Wasn't untill I had taken an hour in each channel that I read that it's not a very good target for narrow band imaging just my luck.

Anyway it was a nice test and I managed to sort out my guiding niggles.

6x10mins (I know 10mins...who'd have thought it possible!) in Ha/OIII/SII.

SII=R

HA=G

OIII=B

Still no flats (will take some at SGL) I don't know what it looks like on your monitor but on my laptop it looks ok.

Never going to win POW but I had a go

Its a Nice target for HA + RGB...

How did the mask work with the narrowband filters?

Was fantastic mate! Obviously was a bit darker than say just using the luminance filter but still great.Focus was bang on.

Thanks fellas The more I look at it and the subtle nuances of colour that are running in the image, the more I like it.Wasn't such a loss after all.
