Williams Optics reducer/flattener III

Hi all,

Has anyone here had experience of Williams optics reducer/flattener III

William Optics - William Optics 0.8x Reducer / Flattener III

on the ED80 pro?

Seems cheaper than buying the SW flattener/reducer

Hi, Just got one of these 2nd hand, put it on the scope this week, and did some imaging of M67 with my Atik 314L+ and of course it's on my ED80 Pro.

I also looked at the SW version and some others, but I am really impresses with the build quality of all WO products.

I suppose the SW flattener should go perfectly with the scope, but I am happy with the III so far, but I have not been overly critical of it yet, as it's early days.

I have this exact combination. I have looked critically at it and I am generally pleased with the ED80/WO 0.8X FR but the stars at the edges of the FOV of my APS sized sensor have a 'spiky' appearance. However, this is preferable to the original elongated stars on the periphery that I get without the FR. The FR unit itself is beautifully made.
