From last night, i decided to try how my cheap guiderscope can catch ds objects. This one is total 1hour of light 5min subs. Canon EOS 1000D unmodded, unguided. With astronomik UHC filter.

Temperature still cold.. -10C and freesing wind.

I'm guite surpriced of this image, of cource shape of stars is bad at corners, but it's a cheap refractor.

I used my guiderscope, sky watcher 80/400 startraveller. Just wanted to see what kind of pictures can i get with cheap achro. Today i will try with reduced focal length, i find a way to add my SCT reducer, alan geeII to it. i tested it at daytime, but startest show how it works , fl is about 300mm , F3.8. Lets see what happens..

Here is a test from last night. Same telescope, Sky Watcher startraveller 80/400. Focal lenght is reduced with alan geeII reducer to 300mm F3.8. 3h22min 4min subs, Canon EOS 1000D unmodded, Astronomik UHC filter. DSS and Photoshop. Sky was not so clear this night.

Edit: change pic, better colours.
