Nearest astronomy shops to Stafford

Hi

Anyone know the best/nearest places to go and have a look at some scopes. I'm in a complete mess trying to decide between a dob or an eq-5 based Skywatcher and think I need to go and have a look at some real live scopes.

Call into Orion Optics in Crewe they usually have scopes set up in a show room or give them a call and they might even set something up for you to your requirements.

Is there a club near you that might have an upcoming evening session where you can see/try for yourself and get some more advice? Or pop into SGL6 in a couple of weeks, you'll have loads to look at.

I did wonder about a local group as I posted. I was at Kielder a few weeks ago but I wasn't upgrading at that point Popping in to SGL's not a bad idea. I guess there will be vendors and stuff there (there were two at Kielder and they had some nice scopes at nice prices).
