Saturn - pushing it again

Well I was going to bed but looked outside and saw Saturn looking fairly high in the sky (1:15ish) so I thought "Don't need to get up early and I know I'll have something to play with tomorrow). So I set up quickly and had a go with the 3x barrow, so far so good. Now to push it over the edge, I'll stack the 2x as well. Expecting to take about an hour to get something on the chip, I was pleasantly surprised to find it only took a few minutes...result (frankly, I didn't care if the images were rubbish, I just wanted to have a play today )

Anyway, playing has commenced and this is the first attempt. This time using Registax to process an already centred and appended avi from two 2 min sessions at 10fps.

I'm now having a go with avistack2 to compare. I know it's noisy and full of artefacts but it is only 80mm and it's all educational :-)

I think that has come out rather well. Cassini division is visible and some detail on the disc too. Nice capture
