You may or may not be aware, but I've been having a few issues with focus, its especially a nightmare with the tiny canon viewfinder. So I made myself a Hartmann Mask, in the hope its going to make this issue a thing of the past. So, the moon was up, popped the frac outside, and gave the mask a try. Still not 100% happy, but, certainly an improvement. Anyway, shut up Caz...

How did you get on with the mask?

Did you focus with the mask on a star first or did you focus on the moon.

The frame was to take your eye from the fact that the moon isn't 100% in focus...

The Hartmann mask made a difference, but still tricky to notice, on the moon especially, when the 2 images become 1. This moon shot was taken this afternoon Phil, so no stars to play with....
