NGC 2264 Cone nebula

Hi,

This was taken over a number of nights in the nice spell of clear weather around a week ago. I'd planned to get Ha and O3 but was worried about the state of the subs from the first 2 nights due to low haze, so stuck with the Ha filter. In the end a few Ha subs had to be ditched but managed to keep more than I thought I'd get away with. Looks like this will be the last big nebula around before the galaxies take over.

Exposure was 27 *20min with the Atik383 and Canon 200mm telephoto lens, processed in PI.

Pretty pleased with how it came out as there were times (as often happens) during the processing when I though the captures had been a bit of a waste of time! Surprised to see Hubble's variable nebula in there, didn't realise it was so close to the cone.

WOW, that's a big chunk of sky you have got there, and it's full of great detail.
