Saturn 11th March 2011

Greetings all!

we had another clear night on the 11th March and I was able to make two drawings of Saturn. There may have been some spokes in the B-Ring- I am waiting for conformation of this before I accept it!

The second drawing was made with #21 Filter which brings out the structure in the belts quite nicely.

Solid observations Paul. Spokes in the B ring would be quite something. I hope you can confirm it

Paul mc c: I use a SWA-58-6 WA Plossl 6mm eyepiece and a Meade 4mm eyepiece; this gives me a power of 167x and 250x which is dieal for Saturn (although I use 312x and 400x when the seeing permits!)
