Take a look on my website in my sig, have a look at diy and projects and there is a strip down guide for the tal one. It will show how to take mirror out.

Have a look under tech help and theres a collimation guide that people like.

do make sure that you follow the tried and tested ways to clean a mirror or it's easily damaged. if you looked at the mirror by shining a torch down the tube, it will look worse than it is. I have never cleaned a mirror even though it has a few water stains and some dust. it rarely affects the view unless seriously bad. a scratched mirror is often a lot worse than a dirty one!

here's a good one

Welcome to the wonderful world of Tal, Vik :)

There's lots of folks with these great wee scopes, me included.

I second a read of Astro_Baby's Tal 1 stripdown guide. Superbly informative.

We have a Tal Users Group set up on sgl, Stargazers Lounge - Tal Users Group

which amongst other Tal related stuff, has hints n tips etc on Tal 1's.

Have a pop in if you wish.

Cheers,

Andy.
