My first attempt at deep space

You guessed it.....orion.

It's with my Nexstar 6se. It's my first attempt at deep space with a dslr too. I know it's a bit out of focus and was too ambitious using a 10 second exposure but i think it turned out ok.

That's good, basically what I see visually through the Pentax.

I think once you have the alignment sorted you'll get some seperation in the stars at the core.

It doesn't look out of focus all that much its more the drift you're getting that makes it look out of focus in my opinion (although I'm probably wrong being a newbie )
