Maybe pick up some binoculars, these will give you some nice objects to look for while deciding on what scope to buy, and still be an important part of you kit when you do have a scope.

Hi Andy, welcome to the lounge, it's great!

I am a total novice too, I have a birding telescope, a pair of binoculars and no idea what to buy or how much to spend but I think thatI will find some answers here.

The bloke on the telly has a lot to answer for!
