First attempt M81 & M82

Hi all thought i'd post my results from lastnights session , i've been trying to get a picture of these 2 galaxys for a while but until now no joy . Conditions were not too great but at least there was no cloud , This pic was 50 x 50sec exposures @ 800iso , 35 darks and no flats taken with a C80ed a canon1000d unmodded and a cg-4 mount no guiding . I need to get a field flattner as the stars on the right side of the pictures are always stretched out plus i need some sort of guiding , this is only my third attempt at dso imaging so hopefully they should improve with time .

Thats very good for your 3rd object, no guiding and such short subs.

Agreed.

There might be a bit more in there if you look at the colour balance, which I think is slewed twards the blue.
