OLYMPUS E500 Digital SLR Camera

Does anyone know if this would be suitable for deep space imaging. I am looking at starting imaging but didnt know whether this was suitable or what I should be looking for? Any advice would be greatley appreciated!

I have the E-500 camera, but the only astro images have been of the moon during an eclipse. taken through a 500mm mirror lens of dubious quality. It was sequence of the various stages, and they came out OK. I guess you are referring to Deep Sky work through a scope though. Why not just try and see. I believe someone on the forum did some widefield work with the camera, unfortunately, I can't remember who, but again, they were quite good.

Try some 30 second shots at ISO 400 28mm lens, to see how it comes out. You have nothing to lose.
