First deep sky (m42)!

I had a go at m42 again tonight, THIS TIME remembering to CHANGE THE FOCUS FOR THE CAMERA! Can't believe I've made that mistake so many times! As always with me, it's afocal, as I don't have an SLR. Anyway I've put the photos through GIMP, aligned manually and used the Screen layer filter to stack them all. Then I copied a blank area of sky and pasted it as a new layer above the nebula, and made it a Subtraction layer, removing some of the dreaded Light Pollution.

As I write this I'm trying to use Deep Sky Stacker. In vain.

14 2sec exposures. 30x with 25mm EP on Skywatcher Explorer 150P using Casio EXZ850.

Thanks for reading!
