malc-c
Converting a phillips web cam for use with a scope has been well documented. The innards of a Celstron NexImage is basically the same thing.

malc-c
That's cheap.. the Celestron is over £100 !The reason is that the Phillips camera uses a CCD rather than CMOS. - £30 is a bargin, you can make the connector using an old film canister or £15 for a simple turned connector on e-bay. Simply unsrew the lens on the front, screw on the adaptor and drop it into the eyepiece holder. All the capture software is freely available on the net.... riklaunim
From simple to more advanced it would go like so: SPC880 (NexImage) -> HD Webcam (CMOS, USB2, top brand) -> QHY5/Orion SS cams -> DMK/DFK/DBK -> and a lot more. 880 is very cheap and everything over the webcams costs noticably more, but also offers more.
