APT vs Imagies plus

Does anyone have a veiw on the the apt imaging software and how it compares to Imagies plus?

I haven't tried the later software but APT I thinhk is great.....its nighttime friendly and easy to use and great and setting up imaging sessions....Like it a lot

Hmmm sounds good, i might try a dabble, and cheaper than the imagies plus software.

I guess you have checked in on the "mammoth" APT thread this should give you some ideal of the phenomenal rate at which Ivo (Yoddah) is developing APT...

For the money its really a no brainer...

It also support multiple camera capture most I have run is 3 on an earlier version of the software before all the "clever" stuff go added...

Just remember APT is CANON ONLY... and doesnt support the older DIGIC 1 based cameras...

Cheers Billy for the link, i hav'nt spent a lot of time looking at it, i use a canon 350d and i bought imagies plus some 2 years ago, i'll look see and no doubt end up raiding the wifes purse...again!!!!

No need to read it all but hopefully gives you some idea how rapid the development has been and the level of support form the "Author" Fortunately this time it only a very few Euros...

With the 350D you will need a serial shutter release cable for exposures longer than 30s as well as the USB link to the camera.. is your computer hasn't got a serial port then you will need a USB-RS232 adaptor as well...

Either buy or DIY build for less than a tenner....

Cheers for the link Billy; i built one of these with the opto-isolator, it works very well after some initial scratching of head.

iv'e started to read it and as you say..very rapid development and cheap to boot.
