eyepiece view difficulties

I got an eyepiece from ebay:o before I realised the kind of range and quality of EP that were available. I used

this

15mm plossl with my Meade ETX90. Views were ok but I had to be looking dead centre of the EP to see anything, if I looked even a bit off centre, the view was gone. The actual lens quality seemed ok but then I only have a 26mm meade Ep to compare with.

Although this EP is a bit pants compared to what is available I was still suprised by this problem. I have a much better scope coming (12" 300p flextube) and will try it with this. I will also get some better EP's when funds permit, like the better skywatcher jobs or perhaps save up for a 35mm tele vue

looks like you'll have a very decent scope to try some alternative ep's on, good luck with it
