Bah, the clouds are refusing to budge

So bored I made a spectrum based IR map of the UK from the Met Office maps. I need a clear night tomorrow simply to preserve my sanity. :@

P.S The GIMP didn't like gifs, so it destroyed a lot of it

Annoying isn't it! Especially after a bright clear afternoon. There is a heavy mist as much as cloud here in the midlands, very murky to look at, but luckily the telescope and camera are managing to peer through it for now at least, not many more minutes though by the look of it.

I was actually quite surprised by how clear Jupiter was one night even when cloud was over it. Being a newbie, I hadn't appreciated just how much more light larger apertures can take in

Yep, its funny, sometimes just the right amount of cloud can even help a bit with really bright targets visually.
