GPS accessory - goto do they help?

Recommended Posts

As a visually disabled newb, I am struggling (because of eyesight) to align my Celestron 127 slt. Would the GPS help to automate this process, or does it just eliminate one of the steps in the procedure?

Despite these issues, managed to get a look at Jupiter and some of it's moons tonight.:) does anybody know what these accessories cost?

Any replies appreciated

Hi,

My friend got a GPS module for his Celestron Nexstar 4se and I think he paid in the region of £90! Which IMO is mad! just to put in the date and time and location seems a bit overkill! I can think of a million things i would spend £90 on for my scope before I bought a GPS module! :)

Conclusion..IMO waste of hard earned cash!!

HTH

Michael
