A quick fix.....

Haven't managed any observing for ages so, when the met office's forecast for cloud turned into a lovely clear night :-), I just popped the WO66 out and tried it with the ethos.

This only gives about x30 but was still able to pick up some banding on Jupiter, and the moons looked wonderfully clear and sharp. Probably would have seen a bit more with a filter but didn't want to get all the kit out.

Had a quick peek at m45 but that was very awkward to view up that high, so just went for m42. Given the small scope, amazing what I could see. The trapezium was tiny, but beautifully resolved, really sharp, and the nebula was nicely visible with averted vision.

A quick 45 minute fix, but will keep me going until I get more time/weather improves.

Must get up for Saturn soon!
