Hoping to buy a large Dobsonian - any ideas?

V. good point - would you say e/p selection is similar as for SCT's?

Mike

Not really - SCT's are slow scopes and not demanding on eyepieces.

A large aperture newtonian / dobsonian is almost certainly going to be a fast scope (otherwise ladders will come into play !) so the eyepieces used should be those that perform well in such scopes.

Umadog has identified a few. Needless to say you will need to part with more £'s for these ;)

Hello folks. I had a 10" now I'm getting 12" I think 12" is perfect for good views and 14" in nice but I rather go to 16 from 12". The weight will be more on 16" but we'll worth it. The cost will also be a lot, around 4-5000. I always look for used telescopes. Every time I have done that I've gotten really good deals.
