Maim dl + fcusb

Hi guys.

I have maxim dl and am thinking of getting the fcusb for use with my skywatcher focusser. What I want to know is will the software enable me to take a picture with my dslr (this is connected to maxim) then automatically study the picture and then adjust the focus for me.

If so that is great, but if not what will it enable me to do?

I'm not familiar with your focuser and from memory I don't think it's a natively supported focuser in Maxim itself. However if it's an Ascom focuser and/or there is a driver for it then in theory Maxim will be able to control it for focusing. There's a good description of how Maxim uses both FWHM and HFD in its own focusing routines in the Maxim Help sections.
