Cloud thread number 2175

Well after being at the outlaws all day, the drive home revealed a beautifully clear night sky with more little white dots than I could count. Once home got permission from the boss to disappear for a little while to get the telescope out side and have a little play about. Alas this was close to the kids bedtime so back inside I came and helped bundle the wee ones off to bed.

So with a big daft grin on my face I get the coat and shoes back on and head out for a look while the kettle boils.

"...... eh where's the sky gone"

Couldn't see a thing for clouds and 3 1/2 hours later it's the same so time to give up and hope for better weather tomorrow/today

I had exactly the same tonight - dont you just love those whole sky holes in the cloud cover!

Isn't that the way it goes with clouds? It becomes some kind of peek-a-boo game. One second the stars are there,.. one second they're not! Sometimes I wonder if someone is looking from above and having a good laugh!
