Taken the plunge! First scope and mount!

I visited Chris livingstone today and purchased an ex-display EQ6 mount and a skywatcher 80 (just to get me started) can't wait to try it out. I went for the mount as it was a good price and want to get into astrophotography in the future.

For the next couple of months I will just be learning the sky with it. I can't recommend him enough he showed me how everything worked in great detail and I was there for nearly 2 hours, he is a top bloke!

Excellent choice of mount and scope both will likely stay with you for a long time even when other scopes come along...

Ideally intro combo for astrophotography - I am Sure Olly and Steve will agree...!!!

A good choice - can't go wrong with an EQ6 and the 80mm skywatcher makes an ideal guidescope once you've got the imaging bug and spent the same as what you spent on the mount on another refractor!! ;-)
