what camera for barn door

Hi

Need help choosing a camera I want to make a barn door and I need a camera that can give long exposure times my camera only has an exposure time of 30 seconds

But I don’t want to pay a fortune for it something cheap and cheerful but will do the job

Canon 1000d or an older 300d

I have had a look can get a cannon 300d on ebay for just over £100

Any DSLR and a 135mm f2.8 old lens (add the minus UV filter) will work very well. I use a similar set up (but with the double arm barndoor mount) for wide angle shots with standard cameras.....

what is a minus uv filter can you get one from flo

Most of the camera Shops (Jessops etc ) will sell a minus UV filter to fit your lens.

(It supresses the blue halo around stars - found on older lenses - works 100%)
