New arrival - but power problems

Recommended Posts

Hi all,

My latest acquisition has arrived - the Skywatcher Flextube Auto 300P, with shroud, powerpack and a few other bits'n'bobs.

Unfortunately, there is no 12v cigar power cable so I can't run the scope off my powerpack tonight. So I bought some batteries to use it the expensive way until I find out about the cables - except when I loaded up the batteries look what I found: ity appears one of the conducting springs is missing from my battery box!

So I'm utterly stuck... :)

On the plus side though, the Hotech collimator is a joy to use - it's so easy!

I just found a post on the beginners board that showed that the 12v cable is stored in the battery compartment of the powertank. I didn't know that and didn't realise that the pack actually had a battery compartment -duh - so didn't look!

Honestly... :)

so I can now test it - when the rain stops.
