1000d Full spectrum mod...

Well, it's a good job there is a swear filter on here!!! lol.

Thanks to Gary's great instructions on the website and his video, you crazy lots egging on of what should be a great gain on an unmodded 1000d and not forgetting me lady Gina who sat by with the cellotape ready to tape them little itty bitty screws down.

Job done, all back together, taken a couple of piccies just to check and all is good, including autofocus

Cheers all, now all we need is some clear sky's.

well done!!! and yes I know about the swearing as i ended up opening the thing back up a good four times because one of the bl**dy ribbons wasnt perfectly seated, and i need to re-do again at some point to rid the sensor of a dust spec, but it can wait for w hile

Luckily enough, I managed it first time. Then again, did spend ages going over n over the connections to make sure they are in. No dust bunnies so far, but will check better later.

To remove the rear UV/IR filter which cuts out most of the nice data in astro imaging.

Don't the sensors vibrate to get rid of dust though?

Only the piezo vibrating screen, that's the first or 2nd one, there are 3 in there.
