Dslr versus ccd

Hi All,

I am just getting started in astrophotography using my Olympuus e600 dslr. I am considering buying a ccd camera such as an Atik 314e or 314L. I know that ccd's are faster than cmos and I was wondering how long would one of my choices of mono ccd camera take to capture the luminance detail that my dslr captures in 10 minutes of exposure at 1600iso. I am currently using a wo 72mm megrez for imaging.

welcome to the forum, I just thought I would bump this in case people missed it. If you still get no hits can I suggest you ask again in the imaging sections. They are just as friendly and helpful but don't always look in here.
