What software for Imaging Source cameras?

Hi

Does anyone use software for Imaging Source DMK cameras other than the IC Capture that comes with it? I've just acquired a camera but cannot get the included s/w to work (looks like a licensing issue). While I'm fixing that, I'd like to try and see if I can get the camera to work through something else.

FireCapture - very good for planetary imaging, free.

Have you go the Software Key....

If not sign up to the ImageSource support and forum and log a support ticket with the Camera serial Number etc and see what they come up with...

Thanks - I have tried with Image Source to get the key but have not heard back (they're probably on hols).

I'll give Firecapture a go in the meantime....

I read that IC was flakey (assuming you get a copy) but it has been great with me and I am usually very attractive to bugs!!

I read somewhere that it was quite good, so I will persevere! Having said that, I downloaded Firecapture as per Riklaunim's suggestion and it looks very good - easy to use, fully featured, recognised the camera instantly. Now, if only those clouds would part, I'd bung it on the end of a scope...

IC.Capture works, but sometimes it likes to crash when stopping the recording. FireCapture is an alternative but it's not suitable for long exposures.

Pause the recording first - then stop.

That usually works, but sometimes it still crashes.
