Lunar Eclipse 21-12-2010

Hello again

Here is a drawing of the Lunar Eclipse I made this morning.

I veiwed from a back bedroom window with 10x50 Binos, and made the sketch at the eyepiece(s)

This is the moment that totality started, and the limb at the upper right is still golden. I had wanted to draw the crimson moon as it set behind a tree line a mile away, but soon after totality started the left side of the moon actually started disapearing into the background sky - which was a bit murky, so I settled for this.

That's a nice sketch Chris.

You obviously got a better view of the eclipse than I did, the Moon was much darker for me by 07:45 and I couldn't make out any detail on the lunar surface. Well done.
