BlueAstra
Still waiting for my SX filter wheel, so I'm still taking mono images while learning how to use my H16 with MaximDL. Still amazed I can get these images without any calibration at all! This is 20x200s on my ED80 + TV0.8 FR. I think this may also illustrates the problem that occurs when imaging at low pixel resolution. With this setup I'm now at 4"/pixel, and I think you notice this when you zoom in. On the other hand, you do get a wide field. When I get the filter wheel + OAG I can move over to the C8, and then get 1.2"/pixel, so should be a lot sharper. harry page
Hisome people use darks with the H16 , I never did as I could never see much difference some times subtraction of a bias frame helps The crab is surprisingly small and needs a longer FL as you say but don't forget as you increase the fL you will need longer exposures Look forward to moreHarry
