SEB Revival well underway!!

Greetings all!

Here's an observation I made of Jupiter last night- the SEB revival is quite unmistakable! I started observing at 1845UT, I got drawings of Jupiter, Crater Gassendi and the white spot on Saturn. Came in at 0530UT this morning knackered, frozen but satisfied!

Your dedication is admirable Paul, as are your sketches.

I hope you thawed out quickly, and managed some hot toddies and rest in order to recuperate.

It will be nice to see Jupiter fully clothed again.

Great sketches, Paul. I'm always amazed at the amount of detail you manage to tease out with your 8" Newt. What eyepiece do you use?

Fantastic stuff Paul. The SEB looks like a smoking volcano drawn out by the wind! It really is fascinating stuff. I'm hoping to get another view this evening if the snow clouds stay away

@lukebl I use standard eyepieces to be honest, I tend not to use barlow lenses as it's yet another layer of glass to pass the light through. The skill is in matching the magnification with the seeing!
