Finally we got some "clearish" skies last night and from even before dark I was mesmerised by the moon. On my fast learning curve I immediately anticipate the benefit of anti-vibration feet. After several hours of manually taking in the moon and Jupiter. I decided to crank up the GPS - once I got past the new boy error of "manually" sighting the 3 "bright objects" with the clutches dis-engaged (so illogical I put it down to excitement) I was amazed by the seamless tracking - again nothing more than Jupiter and the moon, but just smack in the middle of my eyepiece. I can't wait wait now to get out in the wilderness away from city lights!!

As Kevin observed, Christmas has indeed come early
