Position of a telrad

HI guys,

I have a 10" Dob and am wondering can you give any advice on the positioning of a Telrad. Is it better on the top or slightly to the side?

I have mine mounted on the far side of my straight through finder and it seems to work OK there. I might invest in a riser block in the future to avoid craning my neck too much while using it like what happens with the straight through finder, a RA one has been on my list for quite a while now.
