Problem - "diffraction spike" on refractor

Of course, I should have rotated the filter by 90 degrees to confirm it, but I'd packed away before I looked at the images.

As expected, FLO have stepped up to the mark. Cleaning fluid and T-mount have arrived hand delivered, along with a replacement filter "just in case" (I live nearby, easy to give it back if it's not needed).

Unfortunately it's now cloudy AND foggy.

That seems to confirm it! So, I opened the new filter and took another picture:

Happy days. Looks like the old filter was a duff then.
