what scope can i get for around £450

looking for a new sope having sold my 200p regrettably a few months ago and looking for a new scope around £400-£500

or even if any one here has one for sale let me know!

What sort of scope do you want? The 200P is an exellent all-rounder but you sold it? Do you want a mount as well?

yes im after a mount as it suites my needs better just wanting to drift into astrophotography. i would like to get C8-SGT XLT Schmidt Cassegrain 2nd hand maybe paying that little bit more but something simlar to this would be great.i have seen this on the bay Orion OMC 140 telescope on eBay (end time 02-Dec-10 17:32:12 GMT) im jst not sure weather to get it or not. thanks for the quick reply

Hello Melibum,

I have a meade 8" sct for sale on here similar to a c8... but I would suggest that they are not ideal for use as deep sky photography rigs, would be fine for planets and the moon. I imagine that most people including myself would recommend a decent eq mount and refractor ( but i am not an imager).
