Skywatcher Panaview Par focal

Hi All

Just purchased the 26mm Panaview , beautifully finished , solid built eyepiece from STBC . Using it for the first time last night , excellent views but could not get focus in my 8" Starhopper dob , fully racked out , had to move eyepiece 10mm out of focuser to get focus . Checked focul point with my 38mm , completely different , would focus fully engaged in the focuser , why ?

Checked OVL website , claims all Panaviews are parfocal , I

thought this meant same focul point for all three lenses ?

Anyone else noticed this ?

Not sure if they're par focal because ibhave never checked but I do have the same two eps and both work ok in all my scopes including an eight inch newt

This is the same issue that the 2" 26mm Meade QX has (could be the same or very similar optics underneath the skin ?). The QX's are far from par focal across their range as well. It's annoying but if it's any consolation the TV Ethos range has the same issue. When I used to have a 26mm QX I put a Hyperion Fine Tuning ring on the bottom of the barrel which extended it by 24mm.

I too couldn't focus with my 32mm Panaview, but found a 2" extension that came with the scope which enabled focusing.
