Flickering "star" ?

In in the N-E of Scotland, and when I look in the roughly Southern sky, there is a flickering star... Or I think it is a star.

It doesn't seem too high in the sky, however it is not a plane or anything because it is stationary and definitely star like!

It is really small.

hi not sure about you question as im new myself but a lot of peeps on here use stellearium to find stuff so maybe you could use to to idetify your star

and as a very VERY rough guess. sirius maybe but i think that may be high in the sky

It's Sirius, it flickers because it's bright and low in the sky.
